Biography
Lin Ying-Chu is a highly accomplished violinist who earned her Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the prestigious Yong Siew Toh Conservatory at the National University of Singapore. Throughout her academic journey, she had the honor of studying under the tutelage of world-renowned violinists, including Midori Goto, Pierre Amoyal, Nam Yun Kim, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Hyo Kang, and Shlomo Mintz. This exposure to top-level instruction allowed her to hone her skills and develop a deep appreciation for the art of violin playing.In addition to her academic achievements, Lin Ying-Chu is a respected figure in the Singaporean music scene. She headed the Singapore Violin Festival in 2018, 2019, and 2020, where she collaborated with renowned violinists such as Qian Zhou and Vilmos Szabadi. Her contributions to the festival demonstrate her commitment to promoting music education and fostering a vibrant musical community.Currently, Lin Ying-Chu is sharing her expertise as a violin teacher at both the NAFA School of Young Talents and a private music school. Her students benefit from her exceptional talent and extensive experience, as well as her dedication to nurturing each student's unique strengths and abilities. Whether she is teaching beginners or advanced students, Lin Ying-Chu approaches each lesson with a passion for music and a commitment to helping her students reach their full potential.


Teaching Philosophy
Lin Ying-Chu is an experienced educator who has been teaching music since 2014 to a diverse range of students, including young children as young as four years old and adult learners. With a specialization in music pedagogy and previous teaching experience in various schools under the auspices of NUS, she understands the tremendous responsibility of being a teacher and is committed to instilling a love of music in her students.Lin Ying-Chu recognizes that every student is a unique individual with their own temperament and learning style. To ensure that each student's individual needs are met, she begins by assessing their aptitude and attitude towards music. With this personalized approach, she tailors her teaching methods to suit each student's individual strengths and challenges.Lin Ying-Chu is passionate about ensuring that no child is left behind in their musical journey, and she takes pride in helping each student reach their full potential. With a dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, she welcomes students of all backgrounds and abilities and strives to create a unique and personalized learning experience for each and every student who enters her classroom.
